Welcome to Bromley Reform Synagogue

Busy June and July at Bromley Saying farewell to Rabbi Tony Hammond in all sorts of ways: Shabbat 1 June: a shared lunch and study session after the service Wed 19 June: "Literature as Revelation", a study session at 8pm, refreshments at 7.30pm Sunday 7 July: Cheder farewell party and concert, adults welcome Monday 8 July: Study session at 8pm, refreshments from 7.30pm. Sunday 14 July: Daniel Cainer concert. Free, but booking required for catering purposes. Bromley Reform Synagogue (BRS), a member of the Movement for Reform Judaism, is conveniently located to serve Jewish individuals and families across south east London and north west Kent. Our lively and intimate community embraces not only Bromley but Beckenham, Orpington, Blackheath, Dartford, Maidstone, Sevenoaks, Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells and even further afield.

Our approach to religion is in the British progressive tradition: open minded and thoughtful, rooted firmly in our history but mindful of the times in which we live. We are fortunate to enjoy the guidance of Rabbi Tony Hammond, who joined us in 2004 after a fascinating and varied earlier career.

• We hold services every Shabbat on Friday evening and Saturday morning and for all Festivals and life events
• Regular cheder classes are held for children, and there is a range of educational events for adults
• Older people enjoy meeting at our Social Centre
• Social events are organised centrally and by individuals with special interests

All are welcome to attend events and services, and directions are provided here. We are happy to answer general enquiries about Judaism as well as about our Synagogue - as the saying goes, you don’t have to be Jewish!
