Race Nigh - 27 November
Please note the new date for the BRS Race Night: Saturday 27 November. All the thrills and spills of the real thing, in the safety of the garden room. Look out for details of how and where to book nearer the time.
High Holydays are coming!
They are very early this year, and services will as usual be held not in the synagogue building but in Orpington. If you need details please call the office on 020 8460 5460 as soon as possible. Tickets will be issued as normal.
Cheder End of Year Fun
A large and lively group of cheder children, along with their families, friends and parents, enjoyed a fun event on the final day.
Watch out for details of forthcoming events...
...a race night, a murder mystery, a car rally and a quiz are all in prospect in the coming year - and book early!

Dubbed the Aleph Team, with their "have cake slice will travel" attitude, they have baked and served cakes for Harris HospiceCare!

How do you like to be known?Wayne and Ash
Where do you live?
Lewisham. We bought our home here quite recently and we love the surrounding areas.
Interests and Hobbies:
Both of us enjoy music and travel, which is our common ground, and good food, of course. Japanese is our favourite. We also enjoy time spent with our toy poodle Pinky, “The handful”.
Ash: I love regular trips to the theatre and art galleries.
Wayne loves his sports and more ... and is a dedicated Spurs supporter.
Nature of your employment:
Wayne: IT Account Manager. I work with most major manufacturers and distributors in the IT industry. I recently changed roles and I am now looking after our supply chain, marketing and sales functions.
Ash: I work in an all-girls secondary school in East London as a Religious Education teacher. I love my job most days! I teach from KS3 right up to A-Level and specialise in Philosophy and Ethics.
Any skills or interests you would be interested in participating in with other members?
Ash would like to learn Hebrew and we would both like to get to know the community more. Wayne can offer any PlayStation users some tips with Pro Evolution soccer.
Family members:
Wayne: My parents and older brother live in South Africa. My sister lives in Australia.
Ash: Mom, Dad and two brothers live in Ireland.
Any other information you would like to share with members?
We recently got engaged and I am sure that Ash would like to hear from any members about anything that is wedding-related.
