Race Nigh - 27 November
Please note the new date for the BRS Race Night: Saturday 27 November. All the thrills and spills of the real thing, in the safety of the garden room. Look out for details of how and where to book nearer the time.
High Holydays are coming!
They are very early this year, and services will as usual be held not in the synagogue building but in Orpington. If you need details please call the office on 020 8460 5460 as soon as possible. Tickets will be issued as normal.
Cheder End of Year Fun
A large and lively group of cheder children, along with their families, friends and parents, enjoyed a fun event on the final day.
Watch out for details of forthcoming events...
...a race night, a murder mystery, a car rally and a quiz are all in prospect in the coming year - and book early!
BRS Take to the Road with Refreshments
Dubbed the Aleph Team, with their "have cake slice will travel" attitude, they have baked and served cakes for Harris HospiceCare!

How do you like to be known?Dan and Harriet is just fine!
Where do you live?
We moved from Balham to Forest Hill last year and haven’t looked back. We love South East London - nice restaurants, great parks, great views (with all the hills), near loads of friends and most of our family, and it’s only a 15 minute drive to shul!
What are your interests and hobbies?
We both have a (fairly unhealthy!) love of food - both cooking and eating it (at home or restaurants - we’re not very picky!). We love trying out new restaurants and recipes. We both also really enjoy walking (probably quite good in light of the love of food!) - nothing better than going on a full day’s hike, with a visit to a country pub as a lunchtime treat (spotted a theme yet?!)
What is the nature of your current or previous employment?
We both work in marketing in finance. Nothing quite like keeping all your eggs in one basket during a credit crunch / recession!

Two nephews and a niece on the way on Harriet’s side; Dan’s - well - we think most of you know them ...
