Vicki has had a somewhat colourful life before joining us as Head Teacher of Bromley Synagogue. After graduating from Barnard College, Columbia University in her native New York, she decided to move to Britain and work as a professional actress.
About 10 years later, she settled down with her husband and family in Greenwich, and started teaching Hebrew Language at our cheder. Eight years later, she learned British Sign Language and began her current career, working with Deaf Adults in and around London. Vicki feels both lucky and privileged to be working with our staff and children every Sunday, and is grateful to be able to fulfill the mitzvah, “V’sheenantam Livanecha V’debarta Bam”- (And you shall teach (the mitzvoth) to your children and speak about them).
