As well as being a centre for our members and the Jewish community, we try to play an active and constructive role in our local area.

Each year, our High Holy Days’ Kol Nidre appeal fundraises for a selection of nominated charities.  Each year this includes both a non-Jewish charity category and a local charity category.  In recent years we have raised thousands of pounds for charities such as Kent Air Ambulance, Bromley Young Carers, St Christopher’s Hospice and Cystic Fibrosis.

Representatives from Bromley Reform Synagogue are often involved in local civic ceremonies and services (such as Remembrance Sunday, above).

We actively support the 999 Club – With an open door policy the 999 club offers immediate support in any situation by providing links with professional agencies, and giving friendship, help and advice to the most vulnerable in the community. Learn more from this video.

We are also very involved with the Council of Christians and Jews (CCJ).  You can read more about them here.

Bromley Reform Synagogue assists Bromley Council’s Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education (SACRE) responsible for advising local authorities on religious education and Collective Worship.
