The photos below show the artwork the Gan children have been working on as they learn about Tu B’Shevat over the last few weeks.  Tracy describes the learning as covering:

• pictures of trees made from fruit,  learning about the types of foods
• trees made with a handprint trunk and different textures for the different seasons
• the weekend after the snow we learnt about sheleg and made snowmen (monsters) out of Rice Krispies and painted a snowy tree scene to introduce trees (ehtz) for Tu Bushvat
• family trees and bird feeders in preparation for Tu Bishvat.

The children had a great time and now know all about the festival too!
